Photoshop modifications aside, i don't like the suit.
They once again made unnecessary changes to a flawless
design. i'm pretty much done with Hollywood's treatment
of superheroes.

Well, first of all, get a haircut, Brandon. Seriously, the length in the back must go. It'll help with the silohette a little but. I'm not worried about the haircolor yet, since I remember seeing early pics of Christopher Reeve in the costume, and he wasn't quite 'finished' yet.
The color of the suit, however...am I being paranoid in detecting the filthy anti-American agenda of Hollywood in this? Superman's costume is bright red, bright blue, like the flag of the country he fights for! Heh. He's a flying American flag. Maroon means nothing. It's a mistake to alter this. Fundamentally.
I'm hopeful things will change before the movie begins filming. As it is, it's sort of a worrysome start.

Maybe it's because Wayne Boring and Curt Swan are among my favorite Superman artists, but I think that Superman should be barrel-chested and actually *look* like a farmboy -- not some thin male model. JB's Superman, I thought, was a good combination of the Neal Adams and Swan/Boring Superm(e)n.
David Boreanaz would have made a great Superman, I thought. He's in his mid-30s but given that Tom Welling (teen Superman) is in his late 20s, that seems appropriate.

Y'know, that's a really good point. I have some issues with Tom Welling's
whininess on Smallville, but he is a big guy who would look appropriate in
a Super-suit. Routh is too skinny.

Yeah, they toned it down from NC-17 to R.
Sin City Showed me what a creator can do with his project. Not what a corporation will do with a trademark. We have seen what Mr. Singer thinks of traditional comic book costumes by his X-men work. And so Much like Rami and Spider-Man we have a director who want to put his own artisic "Stamp" on a very Iconic Superhero.
