A question that comes to mind, of course: if there was any doubt about the authenticity of this piece, why not ask ME?

…to me it looks like a bad tracing.

Their old tracings were better.

I see more and more of this on eBay.  Someone was selling a Kirby of Thor and Loki a few days back, and received over $800 for it too!  It was obviously a forgery.

Obvious forgery.
"eBay" is a haven for the low-rent counterfeiter.

I think sometimes people just want to have SOMETHING, even if it’s not real.

I e-mailed the seller and based on his profile and other items, I'm not convinced that they honestly didn't know what they had.  It's plausible to me that he had a certificate to go with the drawing and was just listing what he thought was true.

This guy who authenticated from Pawn Stars leaves me with a LOT more doubt.  As I said earlier, it took me all of 5 minutes to find the CAF gallery that featured the original drawing not to mention all of the little things that were wrong that everyone pointed out.  How is this person enough of an expert of JB's work to be authenticating it?

I'm jaded enough that it seems to me they are selling bogus expert opinions to people and that they are connected to Pawn Stars makes it all the more likely IMO.

Check out the fake Kirby.

I wonder if eBay will have to eventually get rid of their original art category?  The art is fake, the COA's are fake, the signatures are fake...should a company allow stolen/fraudulent goods to be sold on their site and just claim ignorance?
