Chris Reeve didn't even bother to bulk up for
SUPERMAN IV.

For the first time, he didn't seem perfectly suited for
the role--he was way too skinny.

*** (As a sidenote, look what the artist has done,
look at the S emblema there at the top left corner - I
have cropped the image - a "Superman Lives" S or
what?) ***

Lars, that's the same exact "S" symbol that was used
in the advertising for at least the first two Chris
Reeve movies.

Check out the teaser poster for the first movie, done
by Bob Peak--that same artwork was used on the
front of the DVD case for the first movie.

Glenn is absolutely correct regarding the "S" symbol.  The graphic was more than likely taken from here or a site like this and not the new film:

I doubt it. The shape is not from that era. To the right is the Superman Lives logo I first thought it was.

This is the only teaser poster I found I know that it's genuine because I once owned a copy of it as a kid. I also found a picture of Kate Bosworth while I searched for those posters and I wanted to share it, I hope it's OK, though I usually don't drift off.

Lars, the picture in the middle is definitely the same as the one on the left.  They've just darkened it and gave it a different shimmer effect, possibly stretching it as well.  You can tell they are the same by looking at both the beginning and end of the "S".

OK, I believe you. Thanks for looking at my collage.

One question, Gerry: I'm not sure I have the
capability to burn a copy of a DVD -- if I don't, what
would you recommend?
