Everything in the Hellfire Club was published as I drew it. The CCA didn't even blink.

Times change!

Remember back in THE AVENGERS when Hawkeye finished up a
battle with Deathbird by laying a big smooch on her? We
received ONE (1) letter of complaint, calling him a
rapist.

Today, I wonder......

---

Deathbird attacks, tries to maim or even kill Hawkeye.
Hawkeye goes for a kiss "RAPE@!"

How did you guys get away with putting The White Queen
and Jean Grey in such fetish wear in the Hellfire Club
arc?

---

Have you seen how women dress at comic conventions? This
is one of those annoying things I hate about today... "I
can dress this way if I want, but you can't like it!"

There is a lot I like about the revised version.
- the view from the Stratojet
- Kitty's dialogue, a teenager in which everything is new to her
- Kitty accidentally phasing, basically still learning how to control her powers
I'm amazed at how seamless the new panels fit in.  I will say this about the changes,  not better, both were great, just different.  I didn't read any sexual connotation into the previous panels but maybe I'm just a naive bumpkin

BTW, that small profile of Kitty, in panel 3, is one of my personal bests. I love it!

Fantastic looking replacement panels!

I also prefer the originals (which I inked), the offending panel never crossed my mind that way. But because of the hubbub will forever be tainted when I look at it. So good decision!

Kitty seemingly jumped off your pencil most effortlessly in this exercise.

our world changes all the Time, not
necessarily in the (b)right direction all
the Time...but, let's be pragmatic...we
just got 4 extra panels (and a first one
of beauty indeed), niark niark niak !!!!

JB, I noticed on the newly inserted panels you drew Kitty's belt with the round buckle. Did you make the change to her belt on all of the other pages as well?

Things do change guys, not always for the better but things change. Personally I wasn't offended by the original version but I can imagine many who would not like it. I prefer the new version and now it's just a perfect issue.
