When have you seen jet exhaust that was darker than its surroundings?

Never thought about it till now. Would you still keep the exhaust black outline but make it just white instead of red?

The black outline is a way of making what's inside it look brighter -- which is completely defeated by filling that space with dark colors.

Since you redraw the Stratojet, do you need to tweak the image in the
last panel of page six where Kitty is falling from the sky?
