This is the Storm I love - not the 'punk' mohawk Storm.

Running out of superlatives here.

Stunning pencils. I love how deliberate the contour lines are but also
how seductive the line quality is. Also the contrast between the pure
white of her thigh and the surrounding blacks is really great. The
contour line is so precise no interior rendering is needed.

I hope this isn’t insulting, but it seems like in reviewing your older work,
in respect of this exercise, you have finally embraced the merits of it
and incorporated certain elements of it into your current style.

Storm looks great!  If you find yourself needing to practice Cyclops, could you give him the visor you had planned to use (the contoured "Hidden Years" one you mentioned) ?

It would look a lot like this, with his conventional constume:

And for those slower on the uptake who might be reading this, please note again that this was an idea dating back to at least 1980, not something I am copying from the above design.

If you find yourself needing to practice drawing Dr Doom and the Fantastic Four, could you post it to this thread or a new, different thread about Fanastic Four-Ever?

Not happening, Jason.

Meanwhile, I have added some time cues to the Sequential thread, for easier "reading".

Love the Storm drawing. It reminds me of one of my favorite Storm
images, which was the cover for Amazon #1. (I hope you reconsider
trying to get Terry Austin to ink your work if you are not going to do it
yourself.)

Separately, do inkers work on the actual pencils these days or just a
copy?

Brilliant drawing of lightning (and Storm and storm!). I always end up fixating on the smallest details but here I'm loving the construction. The hips really sell the stride.

Edited to add: The above image of Cyclops is one of my very favourites done by an artist and that is accepting that Neil Adams and Alan Davis draw a freakin' amazing Cyclops!*

* They aren't too shabby on other characters too.
