My wish list:
-return to HIDDEN YEARS -finish THE LAST GALACTUS STORY (so it can be collected and they can use Bill's commission as the back cover or something) -a stand alone Wolverine graphic novel or mini series set some time in the characters past -more FANTASTIC FOUR in whatever form or format JB desires

Let's keep in mind, too, that I wouldn't want to be evicting an existing creative team.

Wow... I could totally get behind you on a WWII era Invaders book!

Much as I think the Invaders would be a hoot to work on, would there be a market for such a book? Do modern readers care about WW2?And, remember, the microcosm does not represent the macrocosm.

I'm really digging the Conan suggestions - not something I would have thought of, but I can see it SO vividly (the image above helps, of course)!

A Strange Tales/Journey into Mystery type book that you could stretch out your creativity. Want to write a 22 page Captain Phonebone story, done. Want to write a short 6 page space story, go for it. Throw in a 16 page werewolf ripper. Do you want to revisit a character you introduced 3 issues ago? Yes you do.
Is it viable in today's market? Eh, who knows? I think it would be fun.

I think there is still interest in World War II. As a history teacher, I find it still to be one of my students favorite moments in history to learn about.
I would be most interested to read an Invaders title. It should be safer from crossovers and special events since it takes place in a different time period and has a team full of interesting characters that are mostly free from a complicated and bizarre backstory plaguing many heroes today.

X-Men: The Hidden Years because JB still has stories to tell and Marvel is trying to get fans to care about the X-Men again. They gave their First Class book a few years back a good push, now imagine what a good promotion involving a creator who helped make the X-Men what they are would do for the fans.
Captain America would be good because it would allow JB to tell classic Marvel superhero stories and sprinkle in some cloak and dagger style stories involving SHIELD.
One problem is there are no creators who JB could riff with (i.e. Stern, Simonson, etc...) that have that classic sense of storytelling. Marvel's stories now are so self-referential that I joke with the gang at my LCS that the Marvel Universe has read the same comic books that I have.

I've mentioned before being at a MidOhioCon a short time into HIDDEN YEARS' run, there to find many readers who thought it was "only a miniseries," and others who insisted it was "always late." (That was CHILDREN OF THE ATOM.) HIDDEN YEARS suffered from the worst case of "stealth marketing" of any book I've worked on.

Mark, the question was "realistically", not sentimentally. So with that in mind, what would it be? Keeping in mind that Marvel is vested in the screen versions of the MCU, so that would leave out Dr. Strange, the Avengers, etc.
——-
So, yeah, as I said, Fantastic Four.

Now that I have given it a little more thought, I'd love to see you work on a western comic.
