Okay, don't freak out. We are playing a "What If?" game here.

If I went back to Marvel, what would you like to see me do? Try to be REALISTIC.

Since you mentioned it in another thread - an INVADERS comic.

Or that PROJECT RESET you have talked about.

Both are realistic to me, especially with the number of ‘reboots’ that have taken place in recent years.

I ran out of interest in the original team after 28 issues. Can't imagine dealing with whatever state they are in now.

Realistically, I think I'd like to see a longer run on the Hulk.

I'd really like to see you on Thor. I'm picturing in my head something along the lines of the Fourth World books you did.

You've worked on most of the top books and characters and while it's tempting to have you go back and try to recapture the magic on books/characters you've done before it's hard to say if that's realistic.

I'd like to see you do something you haven't tried in the past. An epic Thor story. A Daredevil run. Something new to you. Obviously you've had stories featuring all of Marvel's greats but there are a few that you haven't done runs on their books. That's what would interest me.

Going back to the FF or Captain America is going to have a tinge of nostalgia regardless of the outcome. Characters you haven't tackled for any prolonged stretch would be new by default.

Ultimately, I'd want great stories you felt compelled to write. If that isn't present it doesn't matter what company or character. It won't be the same.

Beyond seeing a return to any of your former titles, I'd have to say Doctor Strange (since it was mentioned in the other thread), Thunderbolts (since it would be interesting to see your take on a team of former villains trying to make a go of it as heroes) or a book along the lines of Young Avengers (a teenaged super hero team book).

I'd also like to see more What If? stories you could come up with.

The Fantastic Four would be at the top of my wishlist, but The Invaders during WWII would be amazing.

It would have to be something unconnected to whatever passes as the current Marvel Universe. A GENERATIONS type book that lets you play with any character from any era? JOHN BYRNE'S TALES OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, perhaps?
