Need to catch up on DOOMSDAY CLOCK. I can forget what has happened if I go too long between issues.

Looks like Robbie, Shawn and I are the only one's taking a chance with the new MAN OF STEEL. We'll see if I get past the first issue. One can hope right?

I also got Man of Steel #1 (and Tarot, Witch of The Black Rose #110 and Kino #6).
My verdict is that it was okay. Nothing really gripping, I can't say I'm as yet particularly intrigued by this new villain from Krypton's past. And it didn't really catch me up as to the current status quo, as I've been out of the loop for several years now, regarding Superman comics. From reading this issue I can't tell if he's still married to Lois and raising a son together, or if something happened to them. And I noticed Bendis' trademark dialog pauses and silent panels. So looking at this as the "jumping on point" that it is clearly meant to be, it's not a good one.

Jabari -- Clark is still married to Lois and they're raising Jon together.

My point is that I couldn't tell that just from reading this issue.

A big week for me...
Marvel: Marvel Two-In-One #6 - Zdarsky is writing some of the best FF stories I've read in ages. A great balance of fun, family and high-stakes cosmic adventure.
Archie: Jughead The Hunger #6 - This issue had a cohesiveness to it that has been missing throughout the series, though the lack of subtlety in the art department is still offputting. Vampironica #2 - A lot more going on this issue. It fills the void left by Afterlife and Sabrina well.
Boom! Studios: Grass Kings #15 - A bit disappointed by the ending. For me, it's probably the weakest part of this series.
Dark Horse: Blackwood #1 (Of 4) - A lot of setup before the action starts. Harrow County #31 - One more issue and this one is all over.
Image: Barrier #5 (Of 5) - Great twist at the end that adds another layer to the barrier concept. Image+ Volume 2 #10 (Wytches The Bad Egg Part 10) - This little story between volumes has been interesting, though it feels a bit like being drip fed when you're hanging out for a three-course meal. Looking forward to rereading in its entirety once the story is complete. Kill Or Be Killed #19 - A great issue and with a nice setup for the final installment. Lazarus #28 - Possibly the darkest issue yet, as we see how certain families control their Waste problem. Royal City #11 - A turning point for all the characters in this series is reached, as we learn more about the divisions within the Pike family. Where We Live Las Vegas Shooting Benefit Anthology TP - Comic books pros and survivors come together to reflect on this tragedy. It probably won't reach the people it needs to, but at least its funding the care and rehabilitation of people affected by this act of violence.
