Did RAMPAGE reprint any Defenders stories, Bill?

My memory is hazy due to the many mergers/revamps that Marvel UK titles had.

That version of Rampage was when it was a weekly if I remember correctly. It then relaunched as a monthly with Hulk before the X-Men took over.

Today, Panini have the licence to reprint Marvel titles in the UK. They have an Avengers title which has had many incarnations. It began in 2001 as AVENGERS UNITED:

I was in W H Smith's a couple of days ago and there were quite a few UK Marvel comics being sold, quite prominently by the checkout too.

Not quite like back in the day with a whole shelf of the American comics, all adorned with a COMAG sticker!

The original back-up in the SW reprints was Alpha Flight - I guess there wasn't any crossover with characters in the SW strip so both could sit alongside each other whilst, if I recall correctly, they also included the origin tales which were a nice length for a back-up that didn't require cutting at all.

You're right, Matthew, although I can barely remember the Alpha Flight back-up and I definitely don't remember the Origin Tales. I might have to ebay a copy to find out. I do remember the Panini Album and the free poster of Secret Wars 1 and 2 which came with the magazine's 1st copy. Remember being very excited there was to be another SW and then being disappointed by it when I read them.

Fallings park Bill? I was just down the road in bushbury. Started collecting american comics in 1979 but the UK comics were in the house for quite a few years before that.
