THOR, THOR, THOR!!!
And I think a run on PLASTIC MAN could have been amazing!
I'm going to cheat a little and say THE DEFENDERS--original team! That way we could have him back on Namor and the Hulk at the same time, and get the Dr. Strange we never got to see much of!
And then how about BRAVE AND THE BOLD? His Batman is one of the greats but JB has said he wasn't up for the regular detective stories he'd need to do there (not that that has stopped so many others through the years). The detective angle wasn't so necessary in B&B and JB could draw Batman on a regular basis--and EVERYBODY else!

I have said it several times, I wish JB could try his hands at Flash Gordon. I think he would have some fun with all the various aspects of the series.
And then, Mandrake the magician would be another series I think JB could bring something fresh to it, like what he did on all the projects he handled.

There are lots of excellent calls here playing to our host's strengths in SF and period illustration, but I have to say the Brave and the Bold sounds like it would have been especially great, if only because so many of these ideas could have found their way onto the page that way.
Didier, I can really see a Flash Gordon by JB as well, almost as a combination of his abilities with SF and 30's-era ambiance.

That's not cheating, that's a brilliant answer. Talk about a series for potentially smashing planets into each other!

Re: The Invaders. After their guest shot (NOT "crossover") in NAMOR, a torrent of mail flooded into Marvel demanding/begging that I do a new monthly with those characters -- but set in the present day. I know there are a lot of fans who "don't like stories set in the Past," but when it comes to the Invaders, that kinda misses the point!

One more vote for the Invaders.
I never thought about it before now, Didier, but the idea of a John Byrne Flash Gordon boggles the mind. As long as we're in that territory, I'd love to see his take on Buck Rogers, too. Or the Shadow. Or Doc Savage!
On the DC side: after Legends, I always hoped to see more Blue Beetle by JB. The character, for reasons I guess I can't quite specify, seemed like a good fit for our host's style.

Andrew, I thought about JB doing THE QUESTION as well. I enjoy seeing JB draw people in "regular" clothes and street level action sometimes.
