Hopefully this means DC is officially acknowledging my contribution to the TV series.

Wonder if DC has to pay JB and MM if they reprint their comic, but give it away for free?

Last year Marvel sent me a check for $0.08. Maybe DC will send one for $0.00!

++++++++++

I get the distinct feeling that this is not the same thing as a blank check!

JB -- hasn't DC been better about giving royalties than Marvel has, in general?

It's been weird. A few years ago Marvel sent me a big check for use of characters I'd created, yet the check DC sent me for SUICIDE SQUAD was bigger than anything I got for any of the X-Men movies.

I guess the logic is that you were the first person to draw the Suicide Squad. Amanda Waller in particular. Of course, Waller in the movie doesn't look like Waller as you drew her. Like, at all.

That's the third reprint of this comic within the last year!  The entire miniseries is included in the Superman: the Many Worlds of Krypton trade paperback this month.  The miniseries also was included (except the JB covers) in The DC Universe by Mike Mignola hardcover last year.

Since this picture kind of relates, I figured I'd share it here...

Jor-El and Lara by JB and Terry Austin.

World of Krypton rolls off the tongue naturally (as does World of Smallville and World of Metropolis). I'm glad they were called that.

If they'd been called something else, well the content would still have been enjoyable, but something like World of Krypton sounds epic!
