If there are 25 issues of a title that you don't enjoy, Casey, well you could recycle them (recycling is good!), give them to a charitable organisation, sell them on eBay, etc. Maybe the issue you don't like is one someone else is desperately seeking!

I've sold my fair share on eBay to be honest, but it can be a lot of work.

Moving 4 times in 7 years makes one realize what a pain in the arse it is having a decent sized collection.

As someone who has moved a lot, I sympathise.

I have this compulsion to keep my shelves only with things I revisit regularly. Films, CDs and comics/books that are looked at once end up in the recycling bin or charity shop. I don't like things taking up space if they are not going to be revisited.

I hear you.

As I've gotten older, my compulsion to collect stuff has lessened.

I would love to pare down my collection to something more manageable, that only includes what I would personally deem necessary.

Having just purchased a 900 square foot house (down from
a 2200 square foot apartment), I just hit this point as
well.

Jeez, it's "infecting" everything. Please don't let it happen over here where the majority of magazines and comics avoid renumbering.

I collect the Judge Dredd "Case Files". They present a chronological collection, and I think 29+ volumes have been released so far.

But there is a gap in my collection - because I bought two volumes via Kindle. I do not care that there are two physical books missing on my shelves.
++++++++
Did it bother you that volume 2 omitted four episodes featuring Ronald MacDonald, Burger King, Colonel Sanders, the Jolly Green Giant and the Michelin Man, which weren't reprinted until 2016 for legal reasons?

Mind you, a volume number was needed for titles like Ka-Zar as early as 1981!
++++++++
The 1981 series was called Ka-Zar the Savage, so was still volume 1.  According to the indicia, the 1974 series of Ka-Zar was also volume 1 despite there having been a short-lived previous series in 1970.

Didn't bother me particularly. Lost no sleep over it. If they ever show the stories again, I'll look at them. But I simply read Volume 2 on its own terms.

An April Fool's joke is supposed to take place on April Fool's Day. It's not supposed to be pre-emptive.

The whole point is that you take people by surprise, e.g. I shared news on a forum once (around 9am on the day) that the next Bond film was going to be animated like A SCANNER DARKLY. It fooled one person.

There's zero point to April Fool's Day if it's pre-emptive.
