Ah, don't we all love smug writers who are SO superior to everyone else's work?

Is "fireman" lazy? How about "mailman"? "Policeman"? Etc.

And, hey! How lazy is "walking dead"? Wasn't there ANYthing more imaginative? They're dead and they're walking. Took all night to come up with that one, huh?

Kirkman was so lazy with WALKING DEAD, he stole the premise from George Romero.

Edited to add:

Hey... I just remembered, Kirkman is also the guy that created the series "The Astounding Wolf-Man." Guess what the main character looked like?

In any case, I recommend giving the board another try. I'm just one of the hot-headed ones.
++++++++++++

Can't not think of this when I hear the word "hothead".

Nic Cage? Well, okay, then... I'm just going to have to find another term to use... :-)

I remember thinking as a teen why doesn't Tony Stark just develop Adamantium Armor and be done with it. But then I started to think of all the revolutionary technology he could use. And then I realized he would just be so terribly powerful he would be no fun any more.

Are there any Marvel characters with adamantium armor? It might be that adamantium doesn't lend itself well to that sort of thing -- robots like Ultron aside. And it's even rarer than vibranium, right?

Adam, I have been out of the loop with comics so long I am no longer sure. But you raised a good pont.

IIRC Adamantium had to be properly cooled using Resin X and Resin Y. Then, once the process was forged properly, it was unbreakable and could not be further modified unless some type of molecular re-arranger was used (like the Molecule Man).

I haven't read comics 'regularly' since the early 90's. But I think Iron Man did eventually develop some Adamantium Armor for his Thor Buster armor. I never read the series so I am not able to verify. But I do recall reading about this on some online source.

Adamantium was originally supposed to be extremely rare. Like so many other things at Marvel, tho, it soon suffered from over-use.

I thought it was a nice touch to have the adamantium / vibranium shield presented directly by Franklin D. Roosevelt. It's one of my favorite moments in Marvel history.

I think about how rare Kryptonite was, the first Christopher Reeve movie saw Luthor have to acquire it from Addis Ababa. And it was rare in your books, too.

But in SMALLVILLE, everyone seemed to have access to a meteor rock!

Robbie, that might be a reflection of Silver Age comics, when it seemed that Revco* not only sold Kryptonite, but had monthly specials on it.. Superman, Action (with Supergirl), World's Finest, Justice League of America, Adventure Comics - the stuff seemed as common as steel.

As for adamantium, it seemed that after Wolverine and Ultron, it was supposed to be practically unavailable - at least for a little while. Then, as noted, everyone seemed to have access to it.

*Revco was a drugstore chain here in America back in the day, much the way CVS or Walgreens are today.
