It wasn't that big of a deal since I suspected it to be a BIG gimmick to get people like me who don't give two fodders about the show to watch.  Didn't work.  I get bummed out everytime I had to watch Reeve in his later state.  I recall his appearance at the Oscars, he looked like he was dying, I had to turn the channel because his conditioned bothered me.

After his death, I saw a story on a news program involving all the shit he had to do everyday just to get feeling in his toes.  Usually when I get that my feet are asleep and I hate it when that happens, but for him it was a blessing.  He appreciated his life so well and he had people who truly loved him--man oh man-- I'd like a wife that loves me, truly loves me the way she did for her husband.  Even in Reeve's state of being, he loved life and never gave up hope.

I wish he appeared on a series I cared about.

It has the first footage I've seen of the Daily Planet set and looks beautiful- very Art Deco and it looks like Clark's going to be using the old storeroom again!  I'm feeling more optimistic now than after the costume debacle.

I honestly have no problems with the new suit apart from the 3D emblem and the Belt Buckle.  At least it's recognisably Superman.  And does anyone remember the first couple of outfits Dean Cain wore in Lois and Clark?  I almost stopped watching the show.  A extremely low neckline (preseumably to show off Cain's manly pectorals - like Superman's costume isn't revealing enough), lace up boots (!) and a cape that looked like it stuck in place with Velcro.  Awful.  It was a few episodes before they got it looking at least halfway decent and even than the cape never matched the boots in colour.
