Does anyone think that maybe Nick Cage would of been a better chose?

I read in the latest press releases from WB on the new Superman movie that

"Superman embarks on an epic journey of redemption that takes him from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space."

Maybe that's why he needs a wetsuit and speedos

I was more bugged by the very angular look of the eyes, the silvery colour of the webs and eyes and most bothersome of all the complete redesign of the spider on the back.

How do you feel about Cage doing the Ghost Rider movie?

Never cared for Ghost Rider, so I have no opinion one way or the other.

Based on the little I know about the original Ghost Rider, I would think Matt Damon would be more appropriate for Johnny Blaze than Nicolas Cage.

That's assuming they're even going with the Johnny Blaze version.

Yeah, I'm sure things would've been perfect had the Cage/Burton project had taken off.

Tim Burton's approach would been visually interesting, but when it comes to story I would of had some issues.  Hey, this was happening when Nic Cage was HAPPENING, he came off winning an academy award, making cheesy blockbusters.  I even heard rumors Michael Keaton would make a return as Batman-- I was kidda looking forward to that.

Has anyone read the Kevin Smith "Superman Lives" scripted, was it any good?

******

Physical inappropriateness notwithstanding, Cage lost me when he gave an interview in which he said he planned to play Clark with a lot of "nervous energy", since he felt that keeping Superman's powers all "bottled up" most of the time would have to show itself in some fashion.
