Don't forget the album cover for Paul McCartney and Wings's "Band On The Run"!

Well, that's not so much an "after" as an ol' fashioned SWIPE!

Some of those are awful, some of them are just fun... some show skill, some just show an art-o-graph. Everyone does it but the sheer amount of it that goes on looks like a symptom of a form feeding on itself.
It was fun to see a Byrne take or two on the FF#1 cover 'back in the day'. Or Superman #1. Pick the ones here though that reek of desperation and no ideas...
I remember noticing the How To Draw Comics figures of John Buscema turning up in comics (like Captain Harlock #1 by Ben Dunn). I guess Dick Giordano and Joe Kubert couldn't personally sit down with everyone and help them, though maybe it's a good basis for wanting human cloning so we don't get so much comic art cloning (those two could draw anything from total scratch).

That skull-faced version seems to be endorsing the notion the super-suits are sculpted and padded. Bare parts are down to bone, but the rest is all ripped.

Or... well, otherwise padded.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SKELETON DRAWING SUPPOSED TO BE?!?!?
I will never understand what people are doing. I just don't get this. I don't. Maybe it's another Marvel gimmick cover month...? Putting characters on books in which they don't appear...?
I feel less and less regret about moving away from new comics (for the most part.)

HA!! This is a new one-shot by Dave Sim? Or just a "joke cover"?
