As for what Superman says, I found it odd for someone who had grown up in the US. I mean, if I adopted a baby from, say, Kansas, and he grew up here in the West Midlands (not far from our host's birthplace, that's where I am!), well he'd use West Midlands terminology. Why? Because that's where he'd have grown up!
