I agree with a lot of what's been said. Lee/Kirby on FF, Claremont/Byrne on X-Men. For JB's solo work, I'd definitely have him on She-Hulk and his original creations, of course.

Some I haven't seen yet:

Iron Man -- Lee/Heck. I really like this version of the character. Heck's art has such a hip 60s vibe that really clicked with Lee's writing.

Metamorpho -- Haney/Fradon. I know Haney did some weird things with other heroes, but he was note-perfect here, and Fradon matched him every step of the way.

Those Haney/Fradon Metamorpho stories might be the closest DC ever got to doing a Marvel story in their books. Doom Patrol got close too... but too many DC books were pretty obviously trying to do Marvel, and not succeeding.

And okay, for those who came in late...
Pick FOUR characters/teams.
If you pick a team, don't pick one that had members in their own books... like (as I specified) the Avengers. And the exception to that is the Legion of Super-Heroes.
