Interesting that we have ONE guiding light character in each of the Big Two: Captain America and Superman.

...and in both, there's an ongoing storyline about their fall from grace. Secret Empire and Injustice.

I feel like almost all of the classic DC characters were at a high standard but I
would go with Spider-Man

Growing up I was more a DC than a Marvel guy (in spite
of my love for Spider-Man), so I have to go with
Superman.

I don't disagree with those who say Captain America or Superman but I pick Spider-Man because there have been times when he's been tempted to do the easy thing, such as giving up being Spidey, and realized he should not.
