Geez, and I thought the favorite JB character list was hard.

No order -

Fantastic Four
Namor
She-Hulk
Generations
Danger Unlimited

I felt the need to recapitulate the scores.

The story so far...

1. FANTASTIC FOUR (30 votes)

2. SUPERMAN / UNCANNY X-MEN (18 votes)

4. NEXT MEN / ALPHA FLIGHT (17 votes)

6. SHE-HULK (12 votes)

7. DANGER UNLIMITED (8 votes)

8. OMAC / GENERATIONS (7 votes)

10. WEST COAST AVENGERS (6 votes)

11. INCREDIBLE HULK (5 votes)

12. WONDER WOMAN / X-MEN: HIDDEN YEARS / STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS / AVENGERS (4 votes)

16. BLOOD OF THE DEMON / NAMOR (3 votes)

18. STAR TREK: CREW / HIGH WAYS / IRON FIST / DOOM PATROL / MARVEL TEAM-UP (2 votes)

23. TRIO / TRIPLE HELIX / ANGEL / STAR TREK: ROMULANS / COLD WAR / JACK KIRBY'S FOURTHWORLD / WOLVERINE / 2112 / BATMAN (Many Deaths of the Batman) / ROG-2000 back-ups in E-Man (1 vote)

Left out: Two votes (from Paul Go and my fellow countryman Yvan Jullien) which rewarded two series simultaneously (Trio and Triple Helix) and Josh Goldberg's pick of hand-drawn « Star Trek » I didn't know what to do with. Sorry guys. Feel free to precise your choices.

One last comment: I'm surprised nobody picked Captain America. Not that other unmentioned series are not as good (I love the neglected Babe, for example) but Captain America is usually considered a classic run from JB. Where's the love, guys?

Edited for formating problems I often have when posting on this board

Nice try, Matt, but no matter how clearly and emphatically you word the
directions, there will always be those who feel they must flout the rules.

Captain America would have made my list easily had I not eliminated it from my choices. I had two reasons for getting rid of it.
First JB was on the title for only 9 issues. Of those I only read two. SO for as much as I loved them. I didn't have enough exposure to that rum.

Had to think long and hard before joining in. There two many titles JB has done that I enjoyed, but my five picks have to be:

IRON FIST
AVENGERS
X-MEN
FANTASTIC FOUR
GENERATIONS

Boy, that was tough!! I'm sure my list has changed since the last time we did this!

-C!

Here goes:
-- FANTASTIC FOUR (cuz JB just GETS them)
-- the entire SUPERMAN "saga'" from MOS thru ACTION,
SUPERMAN, ADVENTURES, etc. (thank you for making a character I
love readable)
-- NEXT MEN (a wild ride)
-- WEST COAST AVENGERS (it wasn't long, but it was sweet! And it
made so much sense.)
But it's too hard to pick a fifth from all the runners-up.

I love these exercises.  Remember that bracket?  That was fun.

Holding to the "has to be a series" rule, because otherwise there'd be a replacement at the top spot.  For many of us I bet.  I call "not flouting" - I didn't name it!

In order:
JBNM
FF
Blood of the Demon
JK4W
WCA

Fantastic Four
Superman
Generations
Captain America
Avengers

Was waffling between 3 different series for that last spot. Per the rules, I won't reveal what the other two were.

X-Men wasn't even considered, because I had the misfortune to discover the series just as JB was leaving, and I was only counting series that I read first run for my list. I bought a comic book 3 pack that included issues #129 and #136 (the 3rd comic was an issue of either Amazing Spider-Man or Marvel Tales), which was my introduction to X-Men, but the first issue I bought directly off the stands just so happened to be JB's last issue.

Man I hate these! I think I have it down, then someone
posts and I think "dammit, I forgot about that one"!
Anyway, trying to base this on fond memories and number
of re-reads, I end up something like this:

Man of Steel
Alpha Flight
Fantastic Four
Next Men
She Hulk
