What about Don Rickles in Jimmy Olsen?
------------------------------------------
Goody Rickles was an amalgam of Don Rickles and Joe Sinnott, of course.

Rickles isn't a Kirby character, he's a real-life celebrity who appeared in the stories.  As Evanier said in the blog post I linked upthread:
"Unless it was something like drawing Richard Nixon or Don Rickles into a story as themselves, the characters were all amalgams and they were points of inspiration, not models."

As to Funky Flashman, Evanier says there were at least three people Kirby had in mind whose traits went into Funky Flashman.  Obviously Stan was the primary inspiration for the character, but not the only one.

You could always go back and read Jack's What If? the original Marvel Bullpen was the Fanatstic Four issue he did in the late 70's and see what his impression was.

I suppose you all know the original idea for that story was "What If the Fantastic Four had been the Original Marvel Bullpen." Kirby flipped it.

In any case, don't seek insights into Kirby's brain thru that story. It was heavily "edited" by Mark Guenwald. Basically he rewrote all (or almost all) the dialog except what Jack had written for himself. And there the office staff laughed THEMSELVES silly OVER Kirby's sometime odd USE of bold WORDS.

John Cole - no, you had the title right. But Mr. Byrne was there, and I believe he's saying what it was originally going to be.

Could have been fun...
"All right, gang! Time to get this month's issue of Spider-Man done, and done quick! Or Galactus, the Distinguished Consumer, will beat us completely!"
"Reed, I'm almost done scorching the lettering in on it!"
"Darling, I can't ink this art fast enough!"
"Git outta my way! I'll finish it off for ya! IT'S COLORIN' TIME!!!"
