As cool as FF #242-244 would be, I agree that "Terror in a Tiny Town" would be ideal for a Marvel Studios version of THE FANTASTIC FOUR.It's only of my favorite stories in JB's run.
Another awesome adaption would be the Annihilus storyline. (FF #251-256)
Still, I'd stick with Terror in a Tiny Town, then after the film's success, they could adapt The Galactus saga.

Add my name to the list of those saying "Terror in a Tiny Town" would be a great choice.

"Terror In A Tiny Town"would certainly be my choice, but probably as a sequel after establishing the team. Then again, even though the last two movie attempts at the team suck, the basic origin is established enough for the public that maybe "Terror" could be the first in a new, revamped movie series of the Fantastic Four.

"Terror in a Tiny Town" is my favorite comic book story, so a big thumbs up from me on using that as a movie adaptation. Only on the condition they shoot it as written!

"Terror in a Tiny Town" was based upon the eternal premise that "every Issue is the First Issue for Somebody!" Back in my collector days that issue was my first issue of both the Fantastic Four and John Byrne.

I'm going to go with 276-277, especially if it was a "Marvel Cinematic Universe" movie. I love TIATT, but I don't think it would work as a real movie.
That said, 236 shows how to do a brilliant anniversary celebration issue. Compare, say to issue 100, which was a complete mess. It doesn't even follow cleanly from the action in the previous issue. With respect and apologies to Stan and Jack, of course.

Steve, I'm curious about why you favor FF #276-277 over #236... I loved that story arc but it doesn't seem like a good starting point for a FF movie franchise without some proper rewrites (IMHO). What do you mean by a "real movie"?

Charles, I don't feel either one work well as the start of a movie franchise. If you assume that the origin has been established already, however, I like the flow of 276-277 and the interplay with the supernatural elements of the Marvel universe. You haven't seen many non-supernatural-based cinematic superheroes going up against the supernatural. That makes sense, but for me, in 266-267 just works.
By "real movie", I meant that in the obvious sense. 236 is epic in many ways, I just don't feel it would translate well to the big screen without so many rewrites as to take it far away from the current incarnation we all love.
Then again, I write software for a living, so take my opinion appropriately. :)

291 "The Times They Are A'Changing" and 292 "The Man Who Dreamed The World" Why because it's a Time Travel story and who doesn't love a time travel story. It also has Nick Fury in it that can be used to connect rest of the Marvel Movie Universe. The original story would need to be tweaked a little to switch She-Hulk for the Thing and to add Reed Richards as this was the time of his greatly exaggerated death. Besides I really want to see the UPS scene and you know how hollywood loves it's product placements.

I hadn't thought about 291-292, but after seeing it mentioned, it does seem to be a good candidate. My sentimental favorite it Terror in a Tiny Town though. That's one of my favorite FF stories.

249-250 would make an awesome 'team-up' movie of the two franchises!
