Dale Keown's Hulk ranks right up there after JB's (short) run
and Sal Buscema's fantastic run on the book!!!

The Keown/Farmer days on The Incredible Hulk were glorious. But I think it was Keown who started the practice of drawing the Hulk's hands larger than his head. That got annoying after a while.

Keown is probably the only younger artist whose work makes me think "he must be a John Byrne fan."

I was a huge fan of Dale Keown's work on 'Incredible Hulk'.  I even hunted down his pre-Marvel work for companies like Aircel & Eternity ('Dragonring' was one of the titles, and maybe, uh, 'Dragon Force'?)  'Pitt' #1 was probably the last Keown I picked up.

I have liked Keown's work for along time. I remember standing in line at a convention in Toronto for something like 6 hour to have hime sign some books for me. There was an entire room set aside just for him where this huge line of fans waited and waited just to get a few comics signed and say hi. This was right around the time before Pitt was about to come out.

It really is too bad that Pitt came out so infrequently 'cause I believe it cost Keown alot of fans that his stuff just wasn't really out there as much. About 4 or 5 years later I saw him at another con in Toronto and the line to get signatures was about 5 people. I felt bad for him.

PS - His Dragonring/Dragon Force stuff really was cool looking. Loved it.

You're right, it did cost him a lot of fans.  Me, for one.  He's a great artist, but in order for people to like your work, you actually have to produce some work for people to like.  I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, since he brought that on himself.

I loved the covers he did for that awful Superman story written by Marv Wolfman (Infestation).

Deodato's Hulk was superb aside from the fact that the Hulk was 15 feet tall.

Dale's Hulk is one of my favorite versions of the
character. I wish he'd reteam with PAD for a new arc.
