Well, isn`t that true of most fashion houses? Do you really think Posh Spice has much input in her `designs`?

John Byrne: And, of course, there was that fan who told me, most seriously and sincerely, that altho he loved my stuff, he would not be buying HIDDEN YEARS because he didn't like "stories set in the Past." This while wearing a STAR WARS t-shirt.

---

Makes me wonder...

Ive met people who have said the same thing, "I don't like films set in the past" -- but after talking to them, I realized their terminology was off. They don't like "prequels". They can feel the "Superboy Syndrome" in those stories. Since the fan was wearing a Star Wars t-shirt, perhaps he wasn't expressing his thought correctly?

Germany has been overly sensible to the matter, as far as marketing goes.
Kiss is a prime example of that.
All German issues have different SS's, earliest ones in copy, later ones with a re-designed logo.

They went as far as having different stage lighting:

To clarify, when I said designed by others, I meant people outside the Hugo Boss company.

I think a big issue with finding that
great group of villains is that we've
spent the better part of 10 years looking
at ourselves as the villain, from both a
social and idelogical standpoint.

While I think it is necessary that we
change to better ourselves and the
country, it seems we almost enjoy putting
ourselves down and apologizing to the
world for being idiot Americans.

Not just American`s Stephen, the U.K. is as bad, always focusing on the relatively few negatives and conveniently ignoring the positives. When `the people` voted to leave the European Economic Union, the amount of holier than though commentators who claimed to be ashamed to be British, made my blood boil! It seems democracy is only good if you get the result you want.

Very sad to think our enemies could do comics (except for religious restrictions) in which Captain America and SHIELD took the place of the Red Skull and the Nazis.

JB, sadly that's not far off from what
Marvel has been actually producing for the
last few years.

It's my hope, that the Marvel is on the
way towards a regime change that welcomes
some of the veterans like yourself back
into the fold. I have to imagine that if
the next stunt scheduled for early next
year doesn't get them majority market
share back from DC, someone is going to
hang. DC has been taking them to the
woodshed for four months straight.

Nathan - STAR WARS - "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."

I once had an English teacher who argued that STAR WARS was fantasy, not science fiction, because
it was set in the past, not the future.
