Many of the writers who starting working in the 70s got noticed via regular letter writing.  Martin Pasko springs to mind.  I always glance at the signatures on back issue letters pages to see if a future creator submitted one of the letters.

I always liked the letters pages. The only comic I'm reading right now that has a letters page is Patsy Walker (AKA Hellcat) from MARVEL. DC hasn't had letters pages in at least 5 years or so.

Cool. What's the title of the letters page?

I love the letters page. Way back when (I'm sure many here will remember how long without me dating myself...) it was the only way to get answers to certain questions, find out what was coming up and have an interaction with creators without having to attend a convention or maybe a shop opening.

I downloaded Amazing Spider-man Masterworks vol 17 off the current Comixology sale, read issue #169 the first story in the volume and was surprised to find...the original letters page, with a letter from a certain Frank Miller! Also a cameo from Stan in the story! I will post the page later when i`m on my tablet!

One thing I love about Marvel Omnibus editions are the letters pages. They add so much to the overall nostalgia feeling to me.
