Slight drift off the Marvel/DC...

I would love to see how John would handle a story of the Star Trek crew meeting Galactus!!!

Brian Hague: It is so tempting to just jump in and start "Bitner"-ing this topic...

••

Can't think of a reason why not. In fact, he could do it in either of two ways, it would seem. He could inhabit the operator, or he could inhabit the armor directly.

(A story title like "THE DEAD BOX" has a nice ring to it!)

"The Dead Box" would be much preferred to the other title option "The Box Man"

; )

I really like the possibilities of Sam's Captain America and Uncle Sam
team-up, done in modern day.

Spider-Man and the Joker forming an unlikely coupling would have my
monthly cash as well.

IF groups are being allowed...

Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos + The Haunted Tank

The Chief of the 1960s Doom Patrol teams up with Tony Stark from Tales of Suspense #39 - #47.

I liked the MTU / MTIO format when occasionally stories would continue from one issue to another, but with guest heroes changing along the way. The Brave & the Bold did something similar from 2007, but that became a fully-rotating cast, not simply "Batman and .... " - and the George Perez art in the early issues was also terrific :-)

More clever minds than mine would no doubt work out the 'who'/'how' etc, but I'd find it just the best ever series if an entertaining story could somehow do that - teaming up heroes ( & villains ? ) across both DC & Marvel universes, working up from the Golden Age onwards .... Lots of opportunity for Earth-2 / Earth-1 / time travel / magic / future-Earth and all that cosmic dimensional stuff .... with real history along the way ....

12 issues would be great - any thoughts how that would all map out ? I'm minded to start with Dr. Occult rather than the more-obvious Superman, but who to pair him with ?

Real life? Whichever character has a movie due the next Fiscal Period.

I'd like to see Dr. Occult with Hellboy or The Vision
