"How is circulation going for these nuMarvel fanzines?"
I just read an article saying that people were dropping DC and Marvel comics in droves at comic shops. Except for big sales on the new Steve Rogers CAPTAIN AMERICA (before everybody knew about the Hydra thing) and the new BLACK PANTHER #1 sold upwards of 200,000--both characters that look like the movie versions (that look like the classic comics versions). Imagine that!
And over at DC, the best seller (with constantly growing sales) was BATMAN (the character LEAST affected by all the reboots and crossovers) with a solid creative team that stuck around for more than three years.
If only there was some lesson to be learned about presenting characters people actually want and expect.

"A new title by Benis was announced, The Infamous Ironman"
If Bendis was replaced by a pod-person, the writing could only improve.

I think Bendis has talent as a writer but he's not my choice if you're aiming the books at a young audience i.e. what I would think iron man should be aimed at.
I can't imagine a scenario where Doom being Iron Man would make sense unless he has imprisoned Tony Stark and it's part of a plot to get access to something that would facilitate his taking over the world or humiliating the FF

My friend passes on Marvel Previews to me every month, there is nothing in it to entice me to buy a single title. As a life time Marvel reader, that saddens me.

I wonder how much of this is predicated upon the Seigel and Shuster suits at DC? Change the characters so much Stan Lee and Kirby's estate can have no claim on them.

This summer…

*yawn*
I'd prefer well-drawn, well-written stories that feature the "classic" heroes and villains along with new female and male characters of various hues.

You have a point J.B.,after all,why create new and interesting characters, when you can do a Mark Millar and save them for creator owned stuff, that gets optioned for movies? Give the illusion of `new` by race and gender swapping established characters instead.

Well, Marvel tried a similar stunt back in the late 80s, with Cap, Iron Man and Thor, all 'replaced'. Even Spider-man was replaced by the clone for awhile.
I wonder what things will look like in a year or so.... probably back to status quo. No matter, I haven't been reading in years, and have no urge to do so now!

Warren Worthington III should become the new Falcon.

And keep it within the run of that title.
Delphine Courtney becoming Guardian in AF worked perfectly for three or four issues. If it was done now, AF would be cancelled and Dark Guardian or some such title would be launched.

Good point, JB, but I really don't see these "new" characters having any longevity compared to Stan and Jack's originals.

At one time, that might have been fun!
