My first exposure to the team fell all the way back to page 516.

Thought this was a nice 2-page inclusion.

I bought the regular series back when it was first released and read reprints of the X-Men appearances, but some of the appearances in other titles are new to me. I didn't realize Steve Ditko had drawn Alpha Flight before (in Machine Man)!

There's a Fantastic Four issue that ties into an early Alpha Flight issue, isn't there? I take it that setup isn't essential to the Alpha Flight story?

I'm late to the game, but finally placed my order.

I should have ordered it as soon as Brandon gave us the heads up...

But they're placed in the wrong spot.

As usual with the Marvel omnibus (omnibuses?), this is a great collection. Seeing all the early AF appearances together, I was struck by the fact that there were so few appearances of the entire team prior to getting their own comic. And even afterwards!
