Groo has always been one of my favourite books - I always liked this version of the logo:

A few of my UK favourites:

The '60s Beano logo had a straight and a curved version. The two featured here are a couple of the seasonal variations that would appear (the first is for Guy Fawkes night, November 5th).

Not a cover logo (Zero X was one of the strips from TV21) but I remember finding this very striking when it first appeared.

My two favorite Captain America logos:

I grew up with the X-Men logo that was used when JB worked on the series (in fact, #129 was the first issue I read), but I'm partial to the original logo.

Just to be pedantic, the word "uncanny" didn't appear on the X-Men logo until issue 114.

Pedantic synonyms: scrupulous, precise, exact, perfectionist, punctilious, meticulous, fussy, fastidious, finicky; dogmatic, purist, literalist, literalistic, formalist;...

The can be no "Just to be pedantic". Being pedantic is difficult and requires a clear understanding of the subject matter. So, don't underrate it by adding "Just".

This thread made me note that the 1978 movie used the "classic" logo.

I know Uncanny wasn't added until issue #114, but I went with what I could find. Found one without it after I had already posted.

Just to be pedantic, but your response was more pedantic than Robbie's. And you've made it look fairly easy.

The original Alpha Flight gives me a rise.

Whilst I don't disagree, I loved it changed to the one below. So different to anything I had ever seen on a book before.

Edit: Hmmm. My attempts to post the second AF logo aren't working, but I am referring to the chunky one.
