One of the main reasons I liked the post-crisis Superman was because of the supporting cast. It seems like the creators worked extra hard on making that Metropolis a convincingly real place. Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Bibbo, Emil Hamilton, etc were all great characters. Not to mention how great Luthor was. Merely taking Lois and Superman from that world and putting them into the New 52 world strikes me as DC not understanding what made those comics good.
