Still interested in that interview, even if it's just a scan.  Thanks in advance!

Anyone know off hand what issue this great cover is from?  I can't get a decent copy positioned on my printer so I guess I should try looking it up.

Thanks-

Rob-Punisher #100. I have a larger version of that scan if you think that
would help.

Actually, do you have it smaller?  It only prints the top portion.  I really dig that cover, the skeleton's detail is exquisite!

The ad you mention was actually an ad
for a catalog of comic portfolios and such.  Sal Q. productions
maybe?  The pics of the merchandise were printed on the reverse of
the folded poster. My best friend and I were both Golden freaks at
the time and each ordered two.  Our only disappointment was that it
was only 11' X 17"!  One of mine is tattered with thumbtack holes
and buried amongst my collection of posters of years gone by.  The
other is framed and has hung on the wall for years in my home.  I'll
have to see if I can find the other one and see who the catalog thing
was for.

I didn't know about the re-issue from wildstorm, But I did order
the DF print even with the terrible, unnecessary computer generated
background.  I never received it at my shop inexplicably and DF is
sold out.  No big deal, I still have my originals.

The original title is "The Merry Marvel Marching Mayhem"

Wes, thanks for the info about what the original poster was like! As
for the Wildstorm print (mine turns out to be #15 of 300), it has the
same computerized recolor job as the later DF version. I like the
original white background scheme better, too.

Frank, thanks for the big scan of that Avengers vs. Namor piece! A
longtime favorite of mine, ever since I picked up FantaCo Chronicles
in 1982!

Michael Golden will always be one of my favorite artists, and when he recently drew an issue of BOP for me, I nearly died. I couldn't believe how exquisite the pages were--in an almost comic strip-style of art.

I wrote and told him how much I loved it, and as a gift, he sent me a page. One of those incredible pages with the Golden Age Black Canary motoring through Chinatown in the rain. It slays me every time I look at it. And he did an inked sketch on the back, of BC, with the words, It was good for me, too.

Man, that is something I'll always treasure!~

Best,

Gail
