Brilliant stuff!!!  I have allways thought that if we had no Golden we never would have had any Jim Lee or Art Adams etc, etc

What's his name Jeff Mauderia or what his name is. I allways saw Manga/Anime to be his main source of inspiration but I read a VERY good interview with him on some Australian site and he stated that Golden was his main inspiration.

I always thought the same thing about Art Adams. Golden was very clearly one of his biggest influences in his early work. As for Lee, you can see quite a bit of JB in his early stuff.

I love Michael Golden, I just wish he could do more. Here's one of my favorite lithographs.

Thanks for posting the original Christos. The re-colored version is way too...I don't know, re-colored, I guess.

Now if I only can find the original artwork......I would be willing to pay megabucks to make it mine.

That poster sort of represents MY "Golden Age of Marvel." I was buying X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, Spectacular Spider-Man, Defenders, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Ka-Zar, Moon Knight, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, and Rom at that time.

And loving 'em.  Month in, month out.

Ah, the good old days when you could expect to find your favorite comics month in and month out, always on time.

At least that's how I remember it. ::sigh::

Sorry, just a correction:  This cover isn't Michael Golden.  For the record, it's by my old studiomate and pal Jason Pearson.  Golden is a definite influence on Jay's work, but there are some pretty major differences in how he handles figures ...
