Anyone remember the Demon story he started in one of DC's dollar books? (Detective I think and was replaced by Ditko) And he did a great job on the artwork in, I believe, Batman Family in a story where the Caped Crusader first met Ragman.

Sorry
but I remember reading that John Totleben had a serious eye problem that could not be corrected.
Had not heard that about Golden.
From an intro of himself
"
Somewhere between working on Swamp Thing and Miracleman, I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a progressive degenerative disease of the eye. Symptoms of this chronic condition are profound nightblindness and loss of peripheral vision. Fortunately, even though this disease has rendered me legally blind in recent years, I'm still able to see well enough to continue drawing and painting in pretty much the same manner as I always have.
As "Jaunty" John Totleben, the sightless and imperturbable "inker without fear", I joined up with "Affable" Alan Moore, "Roarin'" Rick Veitch and "Sturdy" Steve Bissette for a bit of retro-rabblerousing on the series 1963 for Image Comics. 1963 was written and drawn in a style deliberately meant to imitate mid-60's Marvel Comics. I did the sonar-inking on Book 4 featuring The Unbelievable N-MAN (Sturdy Steve penciling) and Book 5 featuring HORUS (Roarin' Rick penciling). Of course, Affable Al did all the pulse-pounding scriptwork"

Six months ago I heard a rumor at my LCS that Golden was working as an art director at Harley Davidson-North America. Does he draw cool motorcycles? Golden appears to be one of the more gifted painters working in comics right now, and has an attractive feel for color from what I've seen. Here are some recent ones.

Fernando, I think it was Perez who has "hand" problems -- namely carpel tunnel syndrome, which afflicts the wrists and forearms. I've heard that rumor about throwing his artwork out too. Does that mean his work will rarely be reprinted, I wonder? Marvel takes terrible care of their scans, from what I've heard.

OT...Teod, what years did you attend Art Center? I used to work there in the Admissions dept in '97-98.

Hi Glenn off line for a bit so late reply, I went in 88-91. I was just there today (Admissions)picking up some paper work. I guy named Jeff Rome really saved my butt today. He went the extra mile to help, very cool.

Thanks, Teod. I loved the place; didn't care for some of the people I worked with. Just before I left, some of the artists from Wildstorm (Jim Lee's studio) enrolled there, including Aron Weisenfeld and Richard Bennett. Amazing talent!
(Mods, sorry for the slight drift)

I highly , highly, highly recommend the Batman Families 15-20 & Det-
-ective 481-82 ( also Batman 295)
Golden's ManBat, RagMan, Demon, Batman
and BatMite stories are Amazing! He Also did a nice Batman Special # 1
and a dollar batman spectacular (dc special series #15) which also has a
Mike Nasser and Marshall Rogers story. They're hard to find & not cheap,
but if you hunt you can get em. ( I wish DC would reprint Goldens Batman
material )
I didn't really care for his art by this point, but I believe he did interior art
on a bunch of The 'Nam' series. also Jackie Chan ? Spartan x???
Also try to hunt down Marvel Fanfare 1&2 ( spidey & X-men )
Yes the Rom Covers were great....He also did several covers on Mutant X.
He also penciled a few pages in The Tesla Strong Special

It is not a rumor he declared it on an interview, the problem is with the exception of Doctor Strange portfolio and a poster from marvel superheroes we never see an original art from Golden. Or it was stolen of found if somebody digs in his trash...hehehehehehehehehe
His Micronauts are classic.
