I made a huge error in my previous post. I neglected to add Joe Kubert to the list of names I mentioned. Certainly there are more artist capable of meeting the challenge and I don't think it necessary to name everyone. However there is no way I shouldn't have mentioned Joe Kubert.

His Daredevil work (be it the ongoing run or the MwF mini) is a favorite of mine. After that come 2 or 3 jobs. Iron-Man, with JB, is among these jobs. I loved the way John drew the character, and the storytelling was at its best

The Mandarin never looked that good
And so did Tony. A la Errol Flynn

I guess JB may be aware of that fact : Bob Wiacek did a very good job inking the pages but it was interesting to see that a legend inked some pages. At least that one : Al Williamson

I don't know the provenance of this, but its amazing and shows his versatility, nailing the Hulk and the FF in the same piece:

JR Jr's Daredevil run with Al Williamson may be my single favorite run of Marvel Comics, period.  I can see how the scratchier, more stylized aspects of his art might not float someone's boat, but even the haters should be able to look at a piece like this and know that the man's got some serious artistic chops:

That's one of the great things JRJR brings to a piece: Motion! Motion and POWER, as also seen in the Hulk pieces. That Spider-Man piece really makes him look like he is zipping across New York. NICE!!

You know I was a fan of JRJR already, but I still had my breath taken away seeing some of the posted images in this thread. Holy Wow!

MAGOG! I've always loved that character for some reason.

Wow, all this conflict. I feel like my post to Brad Hague
kinda started this mess.

Brad, if my comments belittled or insulted, my sincerest
apologies. Wasn't my intention, I just want to give my
perspective on what I see, and why I like it. I thought
that maybe it might help you understand what the hype is
about. I wasn't trying to invalidate your opinion.

I'm one of those people who grew to appreciate JRJR's work. I never hated it,
but his early work on Spider-Man and the X-Men didn't click for me. (Did the
fact that in my mind JRSR is the Spider-Man artist and JB is the X-
Men artist have anything to do with that? Maybe.)

Re: That Thor drawing… Oh, my...

Re: That Spider-Man drawing… It's difficult to see how anyone would prefer
Spider-Man's blue and red costume to the original black and red version.

You're right
And here is, in my opinion, a crazy mistake done by the mag' editor (can't recall what mag it was) John (and Klaus) did a wonderful job with the black costume and the black background
And the editor asked the colorist to bring some blue on the piece!!!

Wow! The colorist totally negated the whole purpose of the drawing!

I think that no matter whether JR JR's artwork speaks to you and grasps you, you have to admit that he is a remarkable craftsman.
