I'm torn on this concept as written, though I will say that as an ethical issue, that the amount that bialy paid (paultry or not) shouldn't be a consideration. If this is the right thing to do, it wouldn't matter. If you have Adam's page right or Joe Shmoe's.

Whenever this topic is raised, there are people who scramble to come up with "analogies" to defeat the concept. "Does this mean every time a house is resold, a percentage should go to the original architect? Does this mean every time a car is resold, a percentage is to be paid to the original designer?"What these questions overlook is that it is not the actual work of the designer that is being sold. The analogy is more akin to the resale of comics, where something that once cost a dime can fetch thousands or even millions of dollars. I don't think anyone has ever suggested the people who created the comics should get a piece of that. (Tho many fans seem to assume we do.) But when it comes to the original art, then there is a unique object that is being sold and resold, and that is where "royalties" should be considered. (And, yes, I do think this should also apply to "fine art." When a painting or sculpture or whatever is resold, the artist, or his/her estate should receive a royalty.)

Ok, bringing it back around...
Just got my tickets for Baltimore Comic Con.
I'm going on Sunday, September 4th.
I see Francesco, Fred C. and Ted are planning to go. Anyone else?

Baltimore on Saturday, with my Son, Son-in-Law, Nephew and best friend -- looking forward to a fun day of searching for Amazing Spider-Man 46-47-48 (from the 1960's)

Been busy with work and behind on my forum duties. Rich Marzullo, it was great to see you in Chicago. Wish we had more time to talk.
Brian, I will be in Baltimore all weekend. Anyone looking to meet up and chat, I'll be helping out Barry Kitson all weekend. Feel free to come by and say hi. I will be the one without the British accent.

Seems like Baltimore is a popular con for people here. Is that because of how great the guest list is or just how well run and comic-orientated it is to begin with? Probably both? I'll be doing Baltimore on Friday and Sunday, but also, on Saturday, I'll be in Toronto for Fan Canada Expo. Will be a heck of a drive, but my school schedule doesn't allow for much else. Does anyone have experience with that one? I just hear its massive.

Both, from my perspective. Probably more the atmosphere, than the guest list.

I have heard positive things about Fan Expo, but I never have gone. They have become a juggernaut in buying out other cons across the US. Pretty soon it will be them, Wizard and Reed Pop running the con scene. Leaving only a handful "mom and pop" cons left. Baltimore being one of them.
Baltimore is a good old fashioned comic con. Except it is the biggest pure comic convention you've ever seen. 230 pros and over another 100 artist alley types.

I'll be at the STAR TREK con in NYC this weekend, as previously announced. Also as before, I will be signing only my TREK work.
