Thanks for jogging my memory, folks. Glad to know I hadn't imagined it.

Good choice in Namor VS Abomination, Jess. And I can grant you a wish (sort of): that happened in Mr Byrne's NAMOR THE SUB-MARINE #58!

Speaking of Namor, I'd like to see him go toe-to-toe with Scorpion or Lizard.

Oh, I'm dying to see Juggernaut take on Destroyer, too. Marvel, please do it! Forget retcons, reboots and "Year One" style origin stories. I want Juggernaut versus Destroyer.

I like to think of some match-ups that'd be unpredictable. Team-ups, too. For example, could Doom team up with and/or manipulate Green Goblin? Or is Goblin perhaps too much of a "wild card" for Doom to control 24/7?

Goblin for me i always felt was too small time criminal. He wouldn't have enough ambition for someone like doom. Doom would manipulate him and discard him like yesterday's newspaper.

Robbie, again didn't know that battle had happened.I think that issue has been reprinted but never read it. Again, good memory!

Controller Vs Spider-Man
Electro Vs Namor

Electro VS Namor is a cool idea. Especially with the water angle thrown in!

Because i'm dim it only took me until a few minutes ago to think oh water conducts electricity lol. My thinking coming up with the battle was that electro could dehydrate namor somehow.

MARVEL:
The Thing vs The Abomination. (I can't believe this hasn't happened yet!)
The Defenders vs The Masters of Evil. (The huge MOE line-up from the Siege of the Mansion story.)
Man-Thing vs Psycho Man. (Don't hit the fear button!)

DC:
Luthor vs Ra's al Ghul. (Big sprawling proxy war.)
Superman vs The Fatal Five. (That axe is going to be a problem...)
Legion of Super-Heroes vs The Spectre. (A deranged 30th century version)

Electricity shouldn't bother Namor. Generating electricity is just one of a
number of seldom used powers he possesses. (Some may say he
doesn't have them any more, but...)

Even as a kid, I was a fan of "cross-pollination". My toy battles usually involved Batman VS Brainiac (Super Powers toyline) or Dr. Doom taking on Hobgoblin (Secret Wars toyline).

I wish more would do it in comics. Not so it becomes frequent (anything can be overexposed) but every 3-4 years, I'd have a major "Acts of Vengeance" style storyline. Wouldn't have to be a multi-issue crossover, but I'd say to editors, "Let's have some cross-pollination. You, sir, can write a Daredevil/Hobgoblin storyline. And, you, sir, write and draw me a battle between Juggernaut and Abomination."

It'd be fun.

I would also think that Kraven might battle more villains. Wouldn't Kraven *love* to hunt down the Lizard?

I'd like to see some of the real heavy hitters battling each other.

How would Dormammu fare in Nightmare's realm? How would Nightmare fare in Dormmamu's realm?

How would Mephisto fare against Dormammu? How would Mephisto fare against Nightmare?

Would Thanos become a "small fish in a big pond" if in Dormmamu's realm?

And given Odin's anger/powers (he can be brutal!), I would not want to be Nightmare or Mephisto in Asgard.

Come on, Marvel, give us these battles!
