Funny how cosplayers and the people who make fan films have no problem making more faithful and comic book accurate superhero uniforms on a very low budget.

That was perhaps the bit in CAPTAIN AMERICA: FIRST AVENGER I actively disliked--making his traditional outfit appear silly. There was no reason for it. It's not as though his later outfits (up to and including Civil War) have been all that amazing.
