Marvel has a series of Uncanny X-Men Omnibus volumes that reprint the tales of the All-New, All-Different X-Men starting with Giant Size X-Men #1 and X-Men #94. The earlier adventures of the X-Men are collected in two X-Men Omnibus volumes, as well as in seven Marvel Masterwork volumes and three Essential X-Men volumes. The two X-Men Omnibus volumes have the contents of the first six Marvel Masterwork volumes, collecting through X-Men #66. However, the seventh Marvel Masterwork volume is not included in the second Omnibus. This volume reprinted the Beast series from Amazing Adventures and other X-Men appearances that happened between X-Men #66 and Giant Size X-Men #1. At 240 pages, it’s not really big enough to be an omnibus on its own. However, if that Marvel Masterwork were combined with the contents of the two X-Men: the Hidden Years trade paperbacks, there would be a pretty impressive volume! It would include:

The X-Men: the Hidden Years preview from X-Men #94
X-Men: the Hidden Years #1-22
Fantastic Four #102-104
Yellow Claw #2
Amazing Adult Fantasy #14
Amazing Adventures #11-17
Amazing Spider-Man #92
Marvel Team-Up #4
Incredible Hulk #150, 161
The covers from X-Men #67-93

This X-Men: the Hidden Years Omnibus would be around 900 pages. I wonder if someone at Marvel may already have thought of this and has it planned, even without a specific release date in mind. It seems like too good of a collection to not do!

Did I do enough AVENGERS to make an omnibus? Or is this Marvel diluting the term as they did with "graphic novel"?

I believe it's the Avengers and West Coast Avengers/Avengers West Coast material with the last of the nebula issues that Fabian Nicezia scripted included (otherwise you'd have a broken story)

Amazon lists the contents of the Avengers by John Byrne Omnibus as WEST COAST AVENGERS (1985) 42-46; AVENGERS WEST COAST 47-62, ANNUAL 4; AVENGERS (1963) 305-318, ANNUAL 18. It shows as being released on July 19, 2016. The earlier Avengers stuff (AVENGERS (1963) #164-166, 181-191) is being released on April 19, 2016 as part of the Marvel Universe by John Byrne Omnibus.

I wonder how all those retailers who maintain that my stuff "doesn't sell" make out with these very expensive books.
