JB, how do financial institutions look at you in regards to whether or not to approve you for loans and stuff? When my wife and I bought our house, the mortgage co. looked at work history, pay stubs, etc. Is your employment history scrutinized more than normal because you're in the comic book industry? Are you considered a more risky investment?

Are you considered a more risky investment?****** Since my income, like the income of most people working in comics, has spent much of my career wobbling all over the ledger, it is sometimes tricky when I apply for a loan and have to explain that my "low" income in a given year is because I did less work than usual. In this case, however, since Stately Byrne Manor has a market value a fair bit higher than the house I am buying, the woman doing the mortgage negotiations for me assures me the Bank will look at the combined value of the houses and have no problem spotting a loan for less than half that much.

I am leaning, somewhat pretentiously, toward "The Aerie".After all, the house is on top of its very own cliff. Not a huge cliff -- maybe an ankle breaker -- but a cliff nevertheless! And there's always "Robot Central". I suppose.
