Now the Scary Part. . .

Well, looks like I "won" the bidding war! But to do so, I had to waive the mortgage guarantee -- which means I had to promise to take the house even if I don't get a mortgage, or I sacrifice the down payment. And that, as you can imagine, is no small piece of change! Still, worth the gamble, I think.

Plus my next door neighbors took a walk thru of Stately Byrne Manor yesterday (they have been here many times for parties, but have never ventured beyond the first floor) and they are most interested in buying the ol' homestead. So maybe this will be easy!

(Hm. Buying a new house. Moving. Easy. Suuuuuure. . . )

Congrats, Chief!

And remember, "when your bank says 'no', Champion says 'yes!'"

(This is not an endorsement of Champion Mortgage, however...if you need a loan that badly, run away!)

Way to go, JB! Are you trying to sell your house yourself, or are you going thru a realtor?

Wow, and I thought bidding wars for old comic books on eBay could be intense.

Well, if dems the dames you want, then... er, your really odd wish is my command!

I was thinking a little younger and hotter.  You know, to help you break in your pool, that sort of thing.
