Yulia in JB's pool...
Just how much water would that displace?
++++++
Not much...they float!
******
Floating objects displace water. One of the smaller consolations of Global Warming is that about half of the ice in Antarctica is floating, so if it melts it will not raise the water levels any. Ditto the northern ice cap, which is also mostly floating ice.

JB....have you come across anything yet that you were on the fence about disposing of and have to have the "Should I or shouldn't I" debate with yourself? We cleaned out the garage here a while back and every once and a while I would come across something where I said to myself "I might need this again one day.." of course that's where Judy came in and said "You know you won't need that any more...toss it."

Most of the stuff getting tossed is from the bottom of piles and stacks that have sprouted over tears of accumulation. When I have not seen or found use for something in that long, I know it is time the toss it. (Along these lines, the easiest tossing will be the several rooms that compose the attic of Stately Byrne Manor. One or two possible eBay items -- my old drawing board is up there -- but most of the stuff has been out of sight and mind since I moved into this house, so obviously will not be needed in the next one.)

I had much the same luck when I bought my first house back in 1996. I had very motivated sellers, so I was able to haggle the price down considerably. In the past nine years, property values have jumped a lot, making my home now worth about four to five times what I paid for it, and I have done very little in the way of improvements.

I'm wondering if JB will uncover stacks of doodles and drawings....
That will be sent to Jim Warden for disposal!!!!
Good luck with the move & the bid. We're in the process of trying to find a house, and everytime we think we find the perfect one... what do you mean it's already under contract!!??!!
