To be fair, I translated a few Rogue stories for the brazilian Judge Dredd Megazine and it WAS a bit repetitive, far more than, say, Judge Dredd from the same vintage.

I liked it, but reading a bunch at a time is tiresome.

2000Ad can especially get repetitive because the stories were only 8 pages. If it's a multi part story you have to end it on some kind of climax every 8 pages and then recap what happened on the first page the following issue. It gets exhausting reading some of those big Dredd epics in one sitting.
