I always loved that image and am thrilled it's being used as an Omnibus cover (not that I'd be at all adverse to a new cover). Most people buying this will be fully aware of the contents, not many people spend that much money without looking first.

Is caveat emptor really a good policy?

Geez, so much fascination with photoshop they forget there is something more important on the page.•• This is what happens when technicians begin to be thought of as artists. There is no way the light from that lamp would be visible in such an otherwise brightly lit "room," and even if it was, it would not be IN FRONT of figures that were themselves in front of the lamp -- like Puck.

I think it would be a nice gesture to offer the featured artist in a collection like this the option to draw a new cover. I don't think it would make that huge a dent in Marvel's wallets.

Robert, JB penciled the WOLVERINE issues - they were written by Archie Goodwin, and inked by Klaus Janson.

If you can comment, did Marvel respond when you reached out?
Related to the subject of large JB collections, this little nugget just slipped out on amazon.ca.
Looks like it could be big enough for 31-50; but not the graphic novel.

The Marvel Universe by John Byrne Omnibus is now available for purchase on www.instocktrades.com at 50% off, or $62.50. It is one of the deals of the week. The new items coming out each week are changed in the middle of the day each Tuesday so that price should be good until next Tuesday (unless they run out). Also, if you've placed an order within the last 8 days, you get an extra 2% off any additional orders placed. I have, so I'll be able to order the omnibus at 52% off, or $60! Shipping is free for orders over $50, which this is. Even after it's not a deal of the week anymore, it should still be a good price, as pretty much all Marvel and DC items are at least 42% off. www.instocktrades.com is a sister site to the DCBS, which is one of the miscellaneous links linked on this forum's home page. I have no affiliation with the site; I just wanted to point out the deal for those who wanted to get the Marvel Universe by John Byrne Omnibus, but otherwise couldn't because of the $125 price tag.
