Golden drew the covers to Incredible Hulk #248 & 251, Incredible Hulks #601, Hulk #13, Hulk Team-Up #1 & Marvel Fanfare #47. http://www.comics.org/issue/34454/cover/4/ http://www.comics.org/issue/34691/cover/4/ http://www.comics.org/issue/1033862/cover/4/ http://www.comics.org/issue/1033111/cover/4/ http://www.comics.org/issue/682765/cover/4/ http://www.comics.org/issue/46975/cover/4/

Wow
I didn't really appreciate Michael Goldens artwork when I was growing up, but I sure do now!
Rom was a really great series back in the day, and I am looking forward to seeing it come back.

Looking at those first two Golden HULK covers, I never noticed before that there was a slight difference in the cover dress between the newsstand and the direct sales versions (where the price and issue number are).

Thanks for posting Colin. It seems that the first cover you listed is the one I remembered, although I seem to have remembered it differently. I think I'm blending the memory of 2 covers into one.

If IDW could get the permission from Marvel to reprint the classic ROM and Micronauts series, then Marvel could reprint the X-Men and Micronauts Limited Series!

That mini really belongs with the "complete Micronauts". Villain aside, that series was a footnote for the X-Men but pretty key to the end of the original Micronauts series.

When did Hasbro become the owners of ROM and the Micronauts? They've always owned the Transformers and G.I. Joe but they didn't used to own the other two.

I imagine the tons of money they got from the Transformers movies enabled them to buy whatever properties they wanted, including ROM and Micronauts. From the perspective of an 80's comic book reader like me, Hasbro now has a neat little chunk of the Marvel Universe.

Bill- ROM was created by Parker Brothers. Their parent company is Hasbro (since 1991).
Hasbro has nothing to do with Micronauts.

For any unfamiliar with Mantlo's life, career, and the tragic turn it took, this is a fairly detailed (and sad) article:
