I know you've told us before, but why didn't you and Chris stay on PM/IF, JB?•• I'd run out of steam on IRON FIST. I'd decided I would stay up to issue 17, for the "symmetry" of writing 17/17 (issue and page number) at the top of the last page.* Then the book was canceled with 15, and Archie Goodwin cooked up the notion of combining two books with low sales to perhaps produce one with better sales. I agreed to stay, since I thought the inclusion of Luke Cage might rekindle my enthusiasm. After a couple of issues, I knew it hadn't. __________ * The books had 17 pages of story/art in those days.
