Very nice. Very kinetic.
Looks like some shading is missing on those half-sphere things in Magneto's costume.

'Mazing.
The way you've drawn the strips of metal is very cool; I don't think anyone illustrates powers in action as well as you, JB.

Mr. Byrne, a lovely piece, and far richer with your description of the action - which looks pretty evident at second glance. But we old people need things explained to us for that second glance... :)
One question, and it's a maybe over-detailed one, regarding the metal Magneto is using. Did you intend for it to be anything initially (e.g., a police car, a hot dog cart, the Supermobile :O ) or is it just some metal hunks? Thanks!

Funny, when I first saw this go up yesterday without the drawing, I read it as Superman and Metallo, which immediately transported me in time to your cover. When The pic was later posted I did a double take. It's been a really fun ride seeing all of these two charcater pieces, especially with the descriptions which really enhance the viewing pleasure. Of all the caharcters you draw, I think your Superman has evolved the most

Beautiful commission.
Is Kryptonite magnetic? ***** It definitely seems metallic, so I'd say it certainly could be. If so, Magneto would seem like a particularly dangerous foe assuming he can lay his hands on some.

hmmm kryptonite being magnetic is interesting...I always say it as rock like...but that raises an interesting point, since many elements can have metallic properties

Beautiful commission, JB. Always a treat seeing heroes face different villains in commissions.
Congrats to the commissioner.

I don't think anyone illustrates powers in action as well as you, JB.•• I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that Howard Mackie once paid me one of the highest compliments I have received in my career, when he told me that he and Mark Gruenwald would look first at my work when they were seeking action shots for OHOTMU. They liked the way I included cause and effect in a single panel!
