Although, it would be a great day if Marvel was willing to licence the FF to IDW for awhile. I can think of a certain writer/artist that might like another crack at him.
••

The problem with this idea is that such a license would be for the Fantastic Four, and only the Fantastic Four. Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny. And, as we all know, the FF are so much more. . .

Well, part of that licensing agreement should include rights to use all the characters on that poster! (it's not like anyone could possible utilize them any better!)

Two of the characters on that poster have already appeared in non-FF related films; Sandman in Raimi's third Spider-Man, and Ronan the Accuser in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy." I don't know that any comic licensing deal would impact which characters can appear in which films, but if it could, I could see Marvel being a little antsy about handing over so many of their toys to outside control, especially after the "Heroes Reborn" line failed to set the world afire.

Also, a few of those characters have supported their own series over the years. I wonder if Marvel would be sanguine with handing over the ability to do a Sub-Mariner or Inhumans title for the length of whatever licensing contract they signed.

Not to mention that Klaw was in Age of Ultron, and Black Panther and Inhumans are getting their own movies.

The FF really has an amazing supporting cast. It's a shame that they're all going to be in better movies than FF.

Also - Fox must suck at negotiating. Who buys the rights to the FF and doesn't get The Kree, Black Panther, and the Inhumans?

Shit. I've avoided the Age of Ultron thread ever since it got a spoiler warning in the thread title.... But now I know Klaw is in the movie. Guess that's once fewer surprise for me when I go see the film...

True, but now that you've written that sentence, I'm thinking of how much fun it could be to see the FF starting from scratch, just the four original team members, challenging the unknown, and seeing where things go from there.

I saw the trailer for the new Fan4astic movie.  And it was even more horrible than I dreaded.  Dang.

Please end the poor F4, it would be a mercy killing.

In fact, just leave them lost in time circa issue 293 when JB left and pretend everything after never happened.

I'm at Disneyland this week with the family and am amazed at how much Marvel Superhero merchandise is here.  It's everywhere.  Now that I think about it, I think its all Avengers stuff.  Between that and all the Star Wars overload there isn't much room for Mickey anymore.

Agree with Brad. FF died for me when John Byrne left the book.
