Brian, isn't that the 1602 Daredevil on the right, behind the other DD? Also, could that be Black Panther from Earth X right above where the energy blasts coming from the two Iron Mans(Iron Men?) meet? I'm not seeing Obnoxio, though.

As with the New 52, despite a rebooted or heavily retconned continuity, so long as the editorial and creative pool is the same, you end up with the same kind of stories. Nothing to get excited about.

My dream scenario is with this Marvel reboot the first news we hear is John Byrne was hired as Editor in Chief.

What Joe said....a reboot without fresh blood is worthless.

That's a good point: rebooting editorial!!!
They could be replaced with 8 graders. In fact, Jim Shooter was writing Legion of Superheroes at 12 wasn't he?
If a 12-year-old can be a comic book writer then certainly a 14-year old can be an editor.
And Neal Adams was drawing the Ben Casey newspaper strip at 21.
That's it. They should do it Logan's Run style: at 30 you get creamed and someone else who has just started puberty be ranked up!

Alienating the longtime fans is no big problem if the result is bringing in thousands upon thousands of 12-year-olds.
Like others here, I don't think it's gonna happen.
Marvel continuity had already become quite strained as the sliding timeline (Fantastic Four #1 plus everything after) slid not just out of the Cold War but out of the 20th century entirely.
I suppose bringing back the pre-New 52 DCU wouldn't be that hard -- just establish that that the DC multiverse is still, in fact, infinitely large (the Anti-Monitor failed) and doesn't consist of merely 52 universes. Hell, establish that no universe is really the "prime universe" and that all the numbers (Earth-1, Earth-2, Earth-3, etc.) are completely arbitrary. The "Prime Earth" and "Earth-2" and "Earth-3" that we've been seeing since late 2011 are just more worlds in the infinite multiverse.
And if there are discrepancies involving the New Gods/Fourth World characters...it's the Time Trapper's fault. Or Superboy-Prime's. Or both of 'em.
Easy-peasy.

I thought it as so named because the "event" ran 52 weeks!

Hey, who says it has to be "fresh"! Bring back these folks:
John Byrne Roger Stern Walt Simonson Louise Simonson George Perez Len Wein Kurt Busiek Christopher Priest Warren Ellis (I know, some of you disagree, but I think he'd work well on certain titles) Brian K. Vaughn Barry Windsor-Smith Ann Nocenti

The 2006 series 52 ran 52 weeks, and its Big Reveal was that there were 52 distinct universes, not -- as we all were supposed to think after CRISIS -- merely a "singleverse."
"New 52" (2011-onward) is about DC always publishing 52 titles every month, AND there are still "only" 52 distinct universes. (Plus the Anti-Matter Universe, plus Apokolips/New Genesis, plus Olympus...you get the idea.)

Which half are you on? (I kid.)
Just be happy I didn't list Chris Claremont! (I wouldn't. It took me a long time but eventually I discovered that there weren't any aspects of his writing that I liked. And it's not like the X-titled improved after he left!)

I thought it was named the New 52 because they restarted with 52 titles...
And now I see Jasons comment, so I'm not far off.
