Wolinski:
Sauter: to jump, but also slang for "to fuck"
Playing on the two meanings she says: "Now it's you turn to fuck me"

This is a very sad day. Freedom of speech and press is a continuous
fight. Some Great artists have died today, just because they were
doing their jobs... Making the people think a little bit more.

We must be strong.

Worth mentioning that Charlie Hebdo's offices were firebombed by fascists not so long ago, so there are more possible culprits than just muslim extremists…

RIP, I would never have thought that terrorists would descend so low to killing people only armed with a pencil ...

I have been following Cabu's work since I was 6 years old !

I don't remember, did Frank Miller receive some threats after the release of Holy Terror ?

My condolences to the French people. A senseless and tragic act. Another sad day for civilisation.

Cohn-Bendit : «Charlie Hebdo c'est la radicalité anticléricale. C'est pour ça qu'ils ont été tués»

"Charlie Hebdo, it's anti-clerical radicalism, that's why they were killed" Daniel Cohn-Bendit.

In this case there're serious reasons to believe the terrorists are islamists, but it is true that the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists considered important to have the freedom to make fun of anything, including all religions . And they did.

I remember watching Cabu on TV, I was 5 years old, and he was a very quirky and funny guy, a cartoonist who captured the funny side of people with one line... Wolinski, I learned to appreciate later. His humor was not for 5 year olds... Charb went for the jugular with his drawings, he had no boundaries et made you laugh out loud and shocked you at the same time.

CHARLIE HEBDO is not a newspaper I read every week, but it is essential because the people who ran it had a courage the others lacked. It tackled the problems of this country (and the world) head on, ferociously, and with a dark and gritty sense of humor. They attacked stupidity, mocked it, and didn't care for conventions.
They made us proud, they make us proud.

Today, most, if not all of their chief editors and cartoonists were killed like animals. By trained radical islamic terrorists shouting in arab "God is great" and "The prophet is avenged".

I am sad, I am furious.
